Upcoming Auditions


A Night Among the Stars / Christmas Jubilee

Auditions are right around the corner and we're doubling down! Come out and audition for one, or both, of the upcoming productions.

First is A Night Among the Stars, a Variety Show which we plan to include all performing arts - music, dance, drama and vocals. This one night performance is set for September 29th at 7:30P. The other production is The Beautiful Gift; An Annual Christmas Jubilee on December 9th at 7:30P. The jubilee consists of a pre-selected set of music, dramas, dance and spoken word.

Walk-in's are welcome, or click here to schedule you audition. Your audition choice(s) will be marked on your application. It is possible to set up a video audition, however those will be at a later time and on an as needed basis. Below are the rules and regulations for the shows and auditions.

  Rules & Regulations

Auditions (Additional rules may apply)

  • Vocal auditions shall be no more than 2 1/2 minutes in length.
  • Drama/Readings/Comedy auditions shall be no more than 4 minutes in length.
  • Instrumental auditions shall be no more than 3 minutes in length.
  • Magic/Trick auditions shall be no more than 3 minutes in length.
  • Bring your resume, audition papers and an 8X10 photo of yourself to the audition with you. If you can not print the audition papers ahead of time, please allow ample time to complete them PRIOR TO your audition.

Rehearsals (Additional rules may apply)

  • Rehearsals for the variety show will be 9/18 & 9/22 at 7:00P, with the show being on 9/23 at 7:30P. (Call times WILL BE earlier for each person in regards to mic checks, setups, etc,)
  • Rehearsals for the Christmas show will be 11/4 and 11/18 at 10A, and 12/4, 12/5 & 12/8 at 7:00P, with the show being on 12/9 at 7:30P. (Call times WILL BE earlier for each person in regards to mic checks, setups, etc,)
  • DNLPA expects you to be on time for every scheduled time.
  • Those under the age of 18 MUST get written consent from a legal guardian.
  • Rehearsals are closed, with the exception of a legal guardian for those under the age of 18.

Productions (Additional rules may apply))

  • All pieces MUST be family friendly for ages 6+.
  • The Director has the right to edit any piece as needed for the overall production and integrity of Dramatic New Life Performing Arts.
  • In general, no piece shall run longer than 5 minutes without prior consent from the Director. We understand that certain acts naturally run longer and will discuss those as needed.
  • Once the auditorium is open to the public/audience, it os off limits to the cast. This includes during intermission.Please stay in the green room, and dressing rooms ONLY.
  • No one, other than the cast/crew, is allowed back stage.
  • Cast is responsible for getting their own costumes/outfits in place AND returned to the rack(s), unless a dresser has been assigned.
